			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>As Miami-Dade County Public Schools wraps up their academic calendar and students get ready for their summer vacation that starts later this week, I am amazed at how rapidly another school year flew by.  My children are wrapping up their last years of high school and I am grateful that I live in a community that appreciates the difficulties the public schools are experiencing, both economically and because of increased competition, and steps up to the plate to assist.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p class="western" style="margin-bottom: 0in"><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif">The 7<sup>th</sup> Annual Taste of Pinecrest returns to <a href="http://www.pinecrest-fl.gov/gardens.htm">Pinecrest Gardens</a> on  Sunday, March 8, 2009, beginning at 11 a.m. With more area businesses, more food  variety and amazing entertainment from our local students, this year promises to  be a delicious outdoor adventure for the whole family.  All the proceeds from this event will go directly to  Pinecrest’s five public schools: Pinecrest Elementary, Howard Drive Elementary,  Palmetto Elementary, Palmetto Middle School, and Miami Palmetto Senior High. </span></p>
<p class="western" style="margin-bottom: 0in"><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif">Participating restaurants include:  A Joy Wallace Catering Production, Cold Stone Creamery, Crepe Maker, Dream  Dinners, Juiceblendz, Kaliapy, Los Ranchos, Roasters and Toasters, Two Chefs and  more. In addition to the food, there will be rides and attractions as well as an art exhibit by local school students.</span></p>
<p class="western" style="margin-bottom: 0in">Admission to the event is free.  Food tastings will range from $2-$5 and wristbands for unlimited rides can be purchased for $10.</p>
