The Coconut Grove Art Festival takes place this weekend.  In addition to seeing some fun, different art, it is a great time to stroll the streets, taste food, and bump into friends. I love this year’s poster!

Take advantage of what is supposed to be another beautiful South Florida weekend and get outside.  The animal sculptures of  Francois-Xavier Lalanne are on exhibit at Fairchild Tropical Garden and are sure to delight children of all ages.  Two of my personal favorites are included here.  Which one is yours?

The 59 Annual Beaux Arts Festival of Art is this Saturday on Sunday at the Lowe Art Museum on the University of Miami campus. This event counts towards on of the New Year’s Resolutions For South Floridians.

In case you are planning to party the entire New Year’s weekend, you may want to consider taking in The Coconut Grove Art Stroll on January 2, 2010 from 7-11 p.m.  It promises to be fun but not too high key if you are still recovering from the 31st.
