The cultural events keep happening in South Florida. Last weekend was the Coconut Grove Arts Festival and this weekend is the South Miami Arts Festival. When you are done strolling through the booths, drop by George’s, Town, Shula’s 347 Grill, Patagonia, or one of the other restaurants in the area and enjoy downtown South Miami.
If you don’t have a party to go to, here are some places to watch the big game where it is sure to be a party:
Brickell Irish Pub – Brickell
Hole in the Wall – Palmetto Bay
Miller’s Ale House – various locations
Burger & Beer Joint – Brickell and Miami Beach
Where will you be watching the game?
There are so many great weekend get-aways in Florida. I took a quick trip to Key West this weekend for a historic tour. Most bed and breakfasts require a two night stay, but the lovely and updated Truman Hotel, two blocks from Duval Street, did not.
Known as South Florida’s garden party, the 71st Annual Fairchild Ramble is this weekend.

The Ninth Annual Taste of Pinecrest takes place this Sunday at Pinecrest Gardens. This food and art festival is sponsored by the Pinecrest Business Association to benefit the Village’s public schools. In addition to student performances, an art show, rides and games, there are a number of local restaurants selling a “taste” of their menus. It is a great way to spend a day visiting, playing and savoring the many different flavors of Miami.
