Wow! I barely survived President’s Day Weekend, between Art Miami, the Miami International Boat Show, and Coconut Grove Art Festival, and it is time for the South Beach Wine and Food Festival, which starts on Thursday.

With the holidays behind us, it is time to get serious about skiing. The United States has been blessed with a snow season that in some places started as early as October!
All skiers dream of powder so consider the top ten powder destinations in North America and Europe when planning your ski vacation. Luckily there are direct flights from Miami to just about every top ski destination, so getting there should be easy.
Happy 2014! Add attending one of these cultural events to your 2014 Resolution List. They take place in spectacular venues that many of us take for granted and help promote the arts throughout Miami-Dade County.

Someone forgot to tell us that it is winter! To all my friends, relatives, and customers who have been dealing with cold or downright miserable weather since October, come on down for a visit and thaw out.
The economic outlook for the Sunshine State is extremely positive. TD Economics, an affiliate of TD Bank, estimates that Florida’s economic growth will grow from 2.4% this year to 3.5% in 2014 & 4.0% in 2015. This growth is largely due to the increase in domestic in-migration, which has led us to knock New York out of the spot for third most populous state. The growth in population is fueling demand for construction and construction workers for residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects, such as the one at PortMiami.
If you were so busy with Art Basel and Art Miami that you missed opening week of PAMM, take the opportunity to visit it for free this Sunday. It is a beautiful addition to Miami’s growing cultural scene. I would recommend taking the metro since the Frost Science Museum is still under construction. There is a “Museum Plaza” stop on the Outer Loop.
Whether you are visiting Miami to escape cold weather or are a year-round resident enjoying the cool weather and lack of humidity, this Saturday night is a perfect night to head over to the Barnacle moonlight concert. This historic home has an expansive lawn that slopes gently down Biscayne Bay and is an ideal setting for an intimate night of outdoor music.
