I don’t know about you, but as someone who lives in Miami, I am enjoying our bustling activity-filled weekends. This will be the third weekend in a row with a major event happening in town. In addition, the weather has been summer-like and perfect for the beach! Luckily many of the films shown during the festival, which runs through March, are shown at night.
If you have not purchased tickets to this weekend’s food and wine extravaganzza to benefit FIU’s Chaplin School of Hospitality & Tourism Management, there are only tickets left for a few events.
Do not despair. There are still plenty of great restaurants in Miami for you to enjoy.
The cultural events keep happening in South Florida. Last weekend was the Coconut Grove Arts Festival and this weekend is the South Miami Arts Festival. When you are done strolling through the booths, drop by George’s, Town, Shula’s 347 Grill, Patagonia, or one of the other restaurants in the area and enjoy downtown South Miami.
The Artist Village at Deering Estate hosts the opening of their Art SoBay Exhibit on Saturday, February 18.
Tomorrow night at 7:30 the New World Symphony Wallcast is From Russia with Love. Bring a blanket and picnic to watch this sold out concert broadcast on the wall.
